Star Wars LEGO Mini Figures

Star Wars LEGO Mini Figures are fun and very unique.  Before Star Wars, the LEGO group stayed away from licensed figures.  LEGO broke that policy which allowed for a huge crossover in fan groups, from LEGO fans taking up Star Wars and vice-versa.
The LEGO Group has done a great job of making the Star Wars themed LEGO systems extremely collectible and very fun.  LEGO releases new Star Wars sets once in a while and then discontinues them, making some sets very difficult to find and, therefore, collectible and expensive.
The problem with that is it's more difficult to be a collector of these Starwars LEGO collections.  That's where sites like eBay come in.  eBay, Amazon and even Craigslist make finding LEGO minifigs much easier and not nearly as expensive as having to pay for an entire LEGO system.  This is great for the average collector (such as myself) because we don't all have a lot of money to spend on toys, even rare toys such as these.
Rare Star Wars LEGO Mini Figures
Some of the more rare LEGO minifigs include the following:
  • Kit Fisto
  • Ewoks
  • Emperor Palpatine
  • Jango Fett
  • Boba Fett
  • Greedo
There are quite a few more and if reading this list of Star Wars characters made you as nostalgiac as writing it made me, imagine if you were collecting them as LEGO figures!  eBay has made collecting these LEGO minifigs realistic for folks such as myself by giving you the chance to bid on these auctions for individual minifigs rather than having to purchase the entire set (which can sometimes run for as much as $500!)
I myself have had a very fun time collecting these difficult to acquire Mini figures.  Some of the easier to find LEGO minifigs include the following:
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi (several versions)
  • Anakin Skywalker (also several versions)
  • R2-D2 (Who doesn't like R2!)
  • Stormtroopers (Build an army)
  • Rebel Scouts
As you can see, collecting these LEGO minifigs can be a task but very much worth the effort.  You can also think of your collections as assets because these minifigures should continue to rise in value over the years as different figures become more rare and more desirable.
